1. Overview
AskLayer offers subscription-based access to its AI website assistant platform. This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains our trial, payment, cancellation, and refund rules.
By purchasing or subscribing to AskLayer, you agree to this policy.
2. Free Trial
AskLayer offers a 7-day free trial for eligible users.
During the trial, users may preview the product and test selected features within the limits of the trial plan.
Trial limitations may include limited number of assistants, limited number of documents, limited monthly questions, limited or disabled public publishing, AskLayer branding, limited AI/LLM usage, and limited support.
AskLayer may change trial limits or withdraw trial access in cases of misuse, spam, fraud, or excessive usage.
3. Paid Plans
AskLayer may offer monthly subscription plans such as Starter, Business, and Plus.
Plan prices, limits, and features are shown on the pricing page. Prices may change from time to time, but changes will not affect an already paid billing period.
4. Subscription Billing
Subscriptions are billed in advance for the selected billing period.
For monthly plans, access is generally valid for one month from the date of successful payment, unless otherwise stated.
Payments may be processed through Cashfree or another authorized payment gateway.
5. Cancellation
You may request cancellation of your subscription from your billing dashboard or by contacting support at support@asklayer.in.
Unless otherwise stated, cancellation stops future renewals, access may continue until the end of the current paid billing period, and no partial refund is provided for unused days in the current billing period.
6. Refund Eligibility
Because AskLayer provides a 7-day free trial, paid subscription fees are generally non-refundable once payment is completed.
However, we may consider refunds in cases such as duplicate payment, accidental double charge, payment deducted but plan not activated, a technical issue caused by AskLayer that prevents reasonable use of the service, or other cases approved at our discretion.
Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of payment.
7. Non-Refundable Cases
Refunds will generally not be provided for change of mind after purchase, failure to use the service, not reading plan limits before purchase, lack of required website access or developer support to install the widget, customer-uploaded content issues, AI responses based on incomplete or inaccurate uploaded information, expiry of trial period, account suspension due to misuse or policy violation, partial month usage, or custom setup or implementation fees unless specifically agreed in writing.
8. Setup or Customization Fees
If AskLayer charges a one-time setup, onboarding, customization, or done-for-you service fee, such fees are generally non-refundable once work has started.
Any exception must be agreed in writing.
9. Refund Process
To request a refund, email billing@asklayer.in.
Include your account email, business or workspace name, payment date, payment ID or transaction reference, and reason for refund request.
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method where possible. Refund timelines depend on the payment gateway and banking partners.
10. Failed or Pending Payments
If a payment fails, your subscription may not be activated.
If a payment is deducted but not reflected in your account, contact us with proof of payment. We will verify the transaction with the payment gateway.
11. Plan Changes
For MVP or early access, upgrades may be applied immediately after payment, downgrades may take effect from the next billing cycle, and proration may not be supported initially.
12. Abuse and Suspension
AskLayer may suspend or terminate access without refund if the service is used for spam, fraud, illegal content, abuse, unauthorized scraping, harmful AI use, or violation of our Terms and Conditions.
